Haiti Earthquake Relief

An earthquake of Richter scale 7.0 hit Haiti on 12th January 2010. Catastrophic damage was reported and current death tolls stand at 150,000. Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, Leogane and Jacmel have seen severe damage and general infrastructure has collapsed in regions close to the epicentre. 

We are partnering with other relief agencies and are looking for medical personnel and volunteers to join in this Haiti mission. We also need  financial resources for the ongoing works. Contact us to help. 


Sri Lanka Civil War Relief
The nation of Sri Lanka has been facing civil war since 1983 between the Sri Lankan government and Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). In early 2009, the Sri Lankan government launched large
scale attacks to take control of the whole nation that resulted in more than 6,500 deaths and many more thousands injured.

Myanmar Cyclone Relief
On 2nd May 2008, Cyclone Nargis hits the nation of Myanmar. It is the worst natural disaster in the history of Myanmar, with at least 146,000 fatalities and 1.5 million people severely affected by the cyclone.
As a response, CRS sent 5 relief teams to Myanmar to provide medical aid and conduct children programs in Yangon and Bogale in 2008 & 2009.

Bangladesh Flood Relief
Since June 2008, different parts of low-lying Bangladesh have been flooded and up to 600,000 has been stranded by the flood. To help in the disaster relief, CRS sent 2 relief teams in November and
December 2008 to Koligram to provide medical aid and conduct children program in the disaster areas.
